Style and Material of the Engine
Bomber Jacket The bomber jacket is actually a slim-fit version of the CWU-45, and its material is just as excellent in water repellency and quality as most of Alpha's flight jackets. DuPont nylon is a top-quality material woven from synthetic fibers, which also boasts excellent breathability. Unlike other military jackets, the warm, quilted inner lining of the jacket is gray rather than orange.
Comfort and Details
Our personal favorite is the patch on the right sleeve, which features words such as fleet, airborne, fuel refuel, squad, peaceful. The gray pattern on a neutral black background really stands out and makes this bomber jacket stylishly distinct from the rest.

Practical Storage and Customization
The Engine model features multiple pockets, giving us plenty of room to stow our IDs, mobile phone, and wallet. The huge L-shaped map pocket, which the designers adapted from the CWU-45 model, is so large that we can even place an A4-sized document or a tablet inside it.
Comfort and Protection in Cold Weather
Additionally, we can pack items into two inside pockets, and the usual slanted pockets familiar from bomber jackets are also found on the front of the jacket. On the left sleeve, we can put our pens in the multi-functional pocket, and store more important papers or our mobile phone in the zippered section.

Keeping warmth inside the jacket is aided by cuffs and waistband made of fine cotton. On its own, the lining provides excellent protection in 5–10 degrees Celsius, but in cooler weather, paired with a warm sweater, we can wear it all winter long. The cable of a headset or earphones used for listening to music can be neatly routed through the fabric patch next to the zipper.

The zipper closes high up, protecting the neck well against the cold wind. The zippered section in the collar is purely decorative; there is no hood inside it. Of course, the iconic Alpha accessory—the red-and-white Remove Before Flight zipper pull on the left upper arm—cannot be missing from this jacket either, instantly catching everyone's eye.

The premium-tier version is crafted from leather, ensuring long-term durability and quality. The cut matches the fabric-made jacket, though it lacks the patches. The black color gives its wearer an elegant look and protects against rain just as well as the DuPont fabric version.

Whichever model you choose, you can't go wrong. You can purchase the Engine in several colors in our webshop's selection, and the leather version is also available with us.
